ABOUT REFLEX FABRICATION
Reflex Fabrication LLC was founded by Andy Haidet in 2012. Andy has his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron. While attending the University of Akron Andy was an active member of the Universities FSAE team and was Power Train Captain where he designed the Intake System and tuned the Fuel Injection System. While designing the Intake system he began to explore advance manufacturing techniques to manufacture complex shapes. The university had a Zcorp 3d printer that Andy began experimenting with using the 3d printed parts to make molds for carbon fiber tooling.
Not long after leaving college Andy built his own CNC machine to make custom Aluminum parts for DSLR cameras. He continued his interest in advanced manufacture techniques and purchased his first FDM 3d printer in 2013.
He used his Makegear 3d printer it to make a variety of parts for his varied interests. From car parts for the Mazda Miata he turbocharged to prosthetic hands for kids.
His passion for 3d printing in his spare time led him to working on it more professionally. He has attended the RAPID 3d printing conference nearly every year since 2014. He has also attended the Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) professional 3d printing conference in 2018. Andy has also attended the Midwest RepRap festival several years as well.
Andy has experience using a wide range of 3d printers from desktop FDM 3d printers, and SLA UV 3d printers to Phenix Metal 3d printers. Printing everything from tooling, prosthetics, toys, prototypes and end use parts from a wide range of materials. During the COVID-19 pandemic Andy printed hundreds of facemasks to donate to medical professionals around Northeast Ohio.
